KONGRA Rainforest — Connected. Informed. Empowered.

One source of truth. Every part of the process.

A shared project platform for commercial door, frame, and hardware work — Division 8 and Division 10 — connecting every party around one persistent record, from the first opening on the schedule through installation.

The problem

Door schedules and hardware specs are unforgiving — and the errors are expensive.

Every party in Division 8 and 10 rebuilds the same information from static PDFs. An opening gets renumbered, a hardware set doesn't match the code condition, a conflict slips through the cracks. By the time anyone catches it, it's a change order — and it crosses the architect's desk on its way to the owner.

The information exists. It just isn't connected. Rainforest connects it.
How it works

Originate an opening once. It stays intact the whole way down.

Instead of flattening every opening into a PDF that each downstream party has to reverse-engineer, Rainforest gives each opening a persistent identity that carries its full context from design to install.

01 — DESIGN

Originate

Number the opening and answer a few guided questions about occupancy and code factors. Rainforest assembles the hardware set and drafts the specification.

02 — COORDINATE

Connect

Architects, contractors, distributors, and installers all work from the same living record — not four disconnected copies drifting out of sync.

03 — VERIFY

Catch conflicts early

Numbering and hardware conflicts get flagged while they're still an RFI — not after they've become a change order in the field.

One record, every party

Built for everyone who touches the opening.

Architects

Originate openings and generate specifications with the code context built in.

Contractors

See the real, current state of every opening — no reverse-engineering PDFs.

Distributors & Estimators

Estimate against clean, structured data instead of re-keying schedules.

Installers

Know exactly what each opening needs, with its full history intact.

The difference

Engineered around how door and hardware work actually breaks.

Persistent identity
Every opening keeps one identity from design through install — so nothing gets lost when a number changes.
Conflict detection
Numbering and hardware conflicts are surfaced automatically, before they reach the field as change orders.
Brand-agnostic
Specifications map to industry ANSI/BHMA standards, so selection isn't locked to any one manufacturer.

Every rule in Rainforest is drawn from real Division 8 and 10 project work — not assumptions about how the process should go.

The ecosystem

A connected environment, not another data silo.

TreehouseYour shared project workspace.
TrailsGuided workflows from origination to install.
CanopyExecutive insight across every project.
Bird's SongAutomatic conflict and error flagging.
RootsA living library of standards and knowledge.
DNA LibrariesBrand-agnostic hardware standards and data.
Why we're called Rainforest

Fewer mistakes means fewer trees.

Every avoidable error in a door package becomes rework — a remade door, a reordered frame, hardware that ends up in a dumpster. Getting the opening right the first time is faster and cheaper, and it's less material wasted: fewer trees cut to hang the same set of doors. That's the name, and the point — build more with less.

If you spec doors and hardware, I'd like to show you what's coming.

KONGRA Rainforest is in active development. Early partners help shape what gets built first — and get a first look before anyone else.
